Skyalps: Debut of the Bolzano-London flight

  • SkyAlps airline offers direct flights from Bolzano to London.

Bolzano, 14.12.2023 – Success for the inaugural flights: yesterday, Wednesday SkyAlps took off for the first time to London Stansted with its DASH-8 Q-400, completing its first scheduled flight to a destination outside the Schengen area. The plane returned to Bolzano in the evening.

"This new route is great news for the airport and is perfect for skiers wanting to visit the Dolomites", declared Simon Gorrighan, Aviation Director at Stansted Airport.

"We have been waiting a long time for this moment and now we are now happy to be able to provide people from South Tyrol and passengers from London and the surrounding area with this new connection with enormous potential ", explained Josef Gostner, President of SkyAlps. "London and South Tyrol have never been closer".

2023/24 winter season: New top destinations, more flights to Hamburg and Düsseldorf
 

In addition to flights to the new destination of London, during the 2023/24 winter season, SkyAlps will offer passengers other attractive destinations with departure from Bolzano – to Berlin, Hamburg and Düsseldorf (in Germany), Copenhagen and Billund (in Denmark) and Antwerp (in Belgium). Flights to Hamburg and Düsseldorf have been increased from three to a total of four per week in the winter.
